This Tuesday we were officially back into the swing of things at the office. New Years break was over, and it was time to get back to the grind!
I can truthfully say that I had the best Christmas of my adult life. I say adult because as a little girl, I had a lot of favorite Christmases. The best one being the year that I got a two story doll house with working lights. My Barbie dolls lived the good life in that thing! I loved it. As an adult, Christmas gets more daunting with all of the presents you have to buy, the cities to travel to, and the countless parties. This Christmas had all of those, but this year I was blessed with gifts that kind of left me speechless. I had no idea that my family would go above and beyond this year! One of my favorite gifts was a stone casserole dish with “Alisha’s Aprons” engraved on the side. Another is the blouse that I’m wearing in these photos. And, of course, the present to me from me: Finn.
Oh my gosh! I just realized this is my first blog post with Finn in it! Ya’ll say hello!
I have never loved a dog more, and I grew up with a lot of dogs! For those of you that know me, I am obsessed with French bulldogs. I would say half of the pages that I follow on Instagram are French bulldogs. LOL! I followed Manny before he was famous! My phone has wallpapers of Frenchies, my Pinterest is scattered with pictures of them, and when I see one on the street, everything else stops and I have to go say hi. I wish I could tell you when my love for them started, but I can’t quite pinpoint it in my history. I know that I loved France as a teen, I loved the story and French glamour of Marie Antoinette. I dreamed of visiting Versailles, taking in the glow of the Eiffel Tower, and settling down in the country side of beautiful France. So, I guess somewhere along the way, I fell in love with French bulldogs, too!
Frenchies have always been pricey though, and as I’ve grown up and inherited more and more responsibilities, the idea of affording one has slipped further and further away.
That’s why when the opportunity to buy Finn came along, I didn’t hesitate.
And ya’ll… I am in love with him!
He is my baby! My son! And by golly! He is going to learn to pose for Mommy’s blog!
😛 (I’m kidding!)
Yeah, we’re cool.
Now if you love what I’m wearing (like I do), keep scrolling to find the Shop Style Collective widget on my outfit. You know me, I am a real girl that works hard for her money, so I whatever I wear is always affordable and great quality – meaning, it’s gonna last you a while, folks!
What was your favorite thing that you got for Christmas this year (2016)? Let me know in the comments below!
P.S. – We’re waiting on Finn’s bat ears to stand up! I can’t wait until they do!
