I stumbled upon this recipe whilst going on a vegan pinning spree (check out my pinterest for well over 100 amazing vegan recipes!), and made it within 24 hours. My favorite drink at Starbucks is the iced caramel macchiato. Of course, I used to order mine with breve, which is steamed half and half, which is the most dairy-iest dairy product of all time. So, for all of you saying, “I can’t do vegan I love dairy too much wahhhhh.” I bet you weren’t as dairy as me unless you had steamed half and half added to your iced caramel macchiato. Yeah, I didn’t think so.
With that being said, let me introduce you to my little friend, Vegan Iced Caramel Macchiato.
As a religious coffee drinker (seriously, I pray over my day as I drink my coffee. Thanks, Gram!) turned vegan, I was a little too excited to see this recipe in my Pinterest feed. And if you haven’t tried the incredible easy vegan (and paleo) caramel sauce… well, you’re going to have to for this recipe and then you’re going to thank me for it once you try it. You’re welcome.
Once you’ve got the 5 minute caramel sauce made, you can make this drink in two seconds (but if you’re not Barry Allen, two minutes).
First, make your cup of coffee. Or make a big pot and pop it in the fridge overnight if you like to prep your iced coffee 😀
Then grab your mug, tumbler, glass, whatever, and drizzle the bottom with dreamy caramel sauce. *cue angelic singing*
Throw a handful of ice in there and add your coffee. Next add your non-dairy milk of choice. My go to is always sweetened vanilla almond milk.
Finally, drizzle more caramel sauce on top and enjoy!
- 1/2 cup sweetened vanilla almond milk , or other non- dairy milk
- 1/2 cup cold brew of your choice
- 2-3 tablespoons5-minute vegan caramel sauce, plus more for drizzling!
- Using a spoon, drizzle a bit of caramel sauce on the inside of your glass. Fill glass with ice then pour in coffee. Next our in non-dairy milk, and stir in 2-3 tablespoons caramel sauce.
